It is September already and holidays are behind us. A nice way to remember them is savouring the delights that we tasted during those beautiful moments.
Calamari is an excellent meze 🙂
A fantastic way to prepare calamari is to deep fry it. According to my beloved uncle Alexis, tapioca flour is the secret ingredient in order to keep the calamari crunchy and enjoy it in a lunch box. Other meze to accompany this are slow cooked okra with olive oil, wheat salad with vegetable, miso soup in an enveloppe and for dessert peanut butter and blue cheese sandwich.
Other great meze is shrimp. Great accompagnement for this is Greek salad with extra virgin olive oil. Ouzo is a wonderful match for meze and a guarantee for a mouthwatering aperitif.
