Cheesy Cretan breakfast

Creta is the island I come from and even though I have always lived out of the island,  the island lives in me.

This is one of many breakfasts that one may enjoy in beautiful Crete. Sheep milk gruyere, dried black bread with olive oil, tomatoes, origano and feta (it is called dakos), Greek coffee, brioche (called tsoureki) scented with a typical cherry seed kernel spice (mahlepi) and raisins.
